Ayurwedic Hot Chocolate

INGREDIENTS:


• 1 1/2 cups oat milk (or almond, cashew

etc)

+ 2tsp cacao powder

• 2 tsp maple syrup

• 1/4 tsp cinnamon

• 1/8 tsp cardamom

• 1/8 tsp nutmeg

• 1 pinch mineral salt (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS:


1. Add all ingredients to a small sauce

pan except for the maple syrup

2. Heat gently while whisking to remove

any lumps

3. Serve when hot, stir in the maple syrup

and then curl up on the couch!



• You can use any nut milk of your

choice. I prefer oat milk for this recipe

but cashew gives it the creamiest

consistency

• If you want to supercharge your hot

chocolate and make it super creamy and a little frothy, blend in a tsp of ghee and coconut oil (perfect for Vata and Pitta types).
